HEALTHY KIDNEYS FOR ALL: KNOWLEDGE TO HELP PRACTICE IS THE MOTTO OF THIS YEAR’S EVENTS TO WORLD KIDNEY DAY-2022 (BASED ON THE MATERIALS OF SCIENTIFIC EVENTS, DEDICATED TO WORLD KIDNEY DAY-2022, KYIV)

Abstract

Introduction. World Health Day is celebrated annually on April 7, the day of its creation in 1948 by the World Health Organization (WHO). Since that historic moment, 194 countries have become members of the World Health Organization (WHO). The annual Health Day has become a tradition since 1950.

Goal. To attract the attention of the world community and ordinary citizens to the prevention and awareness of chronic kidney disease.

Materials and methods. Organization and holding of conferences, round tables, workshops, discussions on timely diagnosis, manifestation, course, clinical signs of chronic kidney disease.

Results and their discussion. This year, in the framework of World Kidney Day-2022, events on the occasion of World Kidney Day “Healthy kidneys for all: knowledge to help practice” were held in Kyiv under the auspices of the State University “Institute of Nephrology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”, the Ukrainian Association of Nephrologists, the National Kidney Foundation and initiative of the National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education named after P.L. Shupyk – scientific and ractical conferences were held. Reports on the causes of formation, diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease were presented at the conferences by young scientists of the Bogomolets National Medical University.

Conclusions. Kidney Day 2022 events are held so that people can understand how much health means in their lives. And health care organizations and doctors are called to solve the question of what they need to do to improve the health of people all over the world.
